WI Sheriff’s Department Sells Over 900 K-9 Stuffed Dogs on Day 1 of Fundraiser | Best Stories

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WDJT) – According to Waukesha County Sheriff’s Deputies, people lined up to get their hands on stuffed K-9 dogs at the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, November 23.

In just six hours, the department sold over 900 dogs.

“From what I understand, people from outside of Waukesha County came and made a fairly long trip to purchase one of our canine dogs to support the community,” said the Deputy Kurt Thompson of the Waukesha County Sheriff’s K Department. -9 Unit.

The tragedy had a very personal impact on these K-9 MPs as they were one of many law enforcement agencies responding to the parade tragedy.

Seeking a way to help even more, they decided to donate all the net profits from the K-9 plush dogs to the victims of the devastation.

Each dog costs $ 20 and 100 percent of the net proceeds will go to the United for Waukesha Community Fund.

“We have a large number of families who have been affected indirectly and directly as a result of the tragedy, and they now face a rather different set of challenges throughout this holiday season,” said MP Thompson.

For people to have a K-9 plush, it is a donation made, but it is also a symbol of helpers on that tragic day.

The department says it’s working to get more plush K-9s available for sale.

Once done, MPs will post it on their Facebook page.
