Animal of the month: Charlie
Hello Woodlands in partnership with Operation Pets Alive (OPA) is promoting a “Pet of the Month” which features a local dog or cat available for fostering and/or adoption in Montgomery County, Texas. Operation Pets Alive is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that strives to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that raise community awareness, reduce the number of dogs and cats entering in our shelters and increase the number of dogs. and the cats that leave our shelters alive.
For our pet of the month, we are delighted to introduce you to Charlie!
Charlie is a sweet dog who was rescued from the woods during a freeze. He was so scared and shy and is now a happy, healthy dog who spent a month living with a professional trainer, “the dog magician”.
Unfortunately, Charlie could not continue to stay with the coach and had to move to a new foster family, but no foster family could be found. He lived with a foster family that has dog racing, but we would love to have him in a real home to experience the love of a family or companion.
Charlie is thought to be a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix and would do best with an active family or an adopter looking for a running buddy. He is just under 2 years old, weighs around 55 pounds, is microchipped, neutered and up to date with his vaccinations!
If you would like to host Charlie, please contact Operation Pets Alive at [email protected] You can make a request to meet or adopt Charlie on the Operation Pets Alive website (no obligation to adopt), with his name and ID D210710 by filling out the form: https://operationpetsalive.org/programs/adopt/
